Utility Solar Technician I - (Port Lavaca, TX)

Basic Job Functions: Responsible for assigned aspects of the maintenance and operation of utility scale PV power plant. Duties include monitoring PV Plant operation through SCADA, commissioning, testing, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying AC and DC solar PV systems, including inverters, PV module arrays, transformers, switchgear, and metering systems. Experience: • 1 year of experience in a related position. • Education:* • High School Diploma or equivalent required. • College or technical degree preferred. • Electrical certifications, state, journeyman, etc. a plus. • Equivalent training in military, utility, or power industry a plus. • Physical Requirements:* • Bending, kneeling, twisting, the ability to lift up to 70 pounds, the ability to climb ladders, and wear PPE for extended periods of time. Ability to work in high and low temperatures, sun exposure, and navigate on uneven ground on foot. • Ability to differentiate between different colors to manage color-coded wiring. • Good hand-eye coordination. • Required Skills/Competencies:* • Understanding of electrical safety and arc flash standards. • Ability to follow operating, switching, maintenance, safety and environmental procedures. • Must have a safety background with experience in Lockout Tag Out and Job Hazard Analysis. • Knowledge of industrial or power facility operation and maintenance. • Knowledge of local and national electrical codes. • Basic understanding of Electrical schematics and prints. • Understanding of electrical principles. • With oversight, able to retrieve relay files and documentation. • Familiar with CMMS systems for maintenance tracking. • Proven computer skills in a Windows environment (Microsoft Office Products) is required. • Must demonstrate the ability to communicate in English both verbally and written. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects. • Self-directed and accountable, able to think critically about processes and issues. • Valid Driver’s License. • Ability to complete NovaSource Technician Qualification Standards successfully within 90 days of hire. • Essential Responsibilities:* • Perform to quarterly key performance indicators, such as actual versus expected energy generation, on-time planned maintenance, and support overall plant and equipment efficiency. • Ensure a safe work environment by strict adherence to company protocols. • Responsible for personal safety, quality and schedule adherence. • Learn, understand, and comply with Job Hazard Analysis, Pre-Job Brief and Lock-Out-Tag-Out procedures. • With supervision be responsible for a variety of PM work including measuring, reading, testing and performing maintenance procedures on all site components. • Communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external stakeholders. • Ensure CMMS work orders are complete in their entirety. • Prepare documents necessary for procurement and utilization of materials and vendor services. • Ensure all documentation and required reports are reviewed, complete, submitted and filed. • Attend, participate in and pass all assigned training in safety, environmental and other areas as assigned. • Maintain work area and site housecleaning to 5S standards. • Inspect and clean PV equipment at assigned location. • Verify SCADA site configuration. • Adher to Company vehicle maintenance standards and safety standards. • Other duties as assigned. • Reporting Relationships:* • Will report to most senior site manager or supervisor depending on site organizational structure. • May have tasks assigned by advanced technical staff. • Travel:* • Travel may be required depending on the needs of the Company. • Office Physical Requirements:* All positions in our office require interaction with people and technology while either standing or sitting. Solar Electrician / Technician

Position Description Origis Services, LLC is a rapidly expanding Operations and Maintenance provider in the United States. Our solar asset portfolio continues to increase at a near exponential rate, with a mixture of Owner developed and constructed sites and third-party sites contracted, or already under management. Our goal is to provide a more inclusive service capability, driving out the large expenses that are normally passed through to the owner. The position of Solar Technician is responsible to maintain, troubleshoot, test, repair, and install equipment in accordance with established standards and procedures. Key Responsibilities • Responsible for the operation and maintenance of solar power plants in accordance with established standards and procedures; always maintains safety and professionalism • Troubleshoot system problems and resolve issues in a timely manner • Provide a working knowledge of troubleshooting electrical components with help and use of digital multi-meters, meggers, amp clamps, and similar equipment.
