Job Title: Field Service Technician III - Solar Location: El Campo, TX, 77437 Summary: The Field Service Technician III will assist with operating and maintaining utility scale solar facilities. This work includes preventative and corrective maintenance of on-site assets such as solar panels, trackers, and power inverters. Requirements: • Takes direction from senior site personnel. • Sets positive example for and mentors junior technicians. • Troubleshoots low voltage DC power systems. • Troubleshoots low voltage, medium voltage, and high voltage AC power systems. • Conducts preventative maintenance on AC and DC power systems. • Identifies faulty or underperforming equipment. • Uses hand tools effectively. • Utilizes a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). • Manages site inventory. • Assist in development of site operating plans. • Follows site safety plan and safe work practices. • Adheres to proper Lock-out-tag-out (LOTO) practices and procedures. • Interfaces with project stakeholders (owners, equipment manufacturers, etc.). • Interfaces with project subcontractors. • Represents RES in professional manner to project stakeholders. • Responds to physical location within 1.5 hours for emergency calls identified as a priority by Operations Control Center. • Operates RES company vehicles, including trucks, in accordance with state and federal laws and RES policies. • Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected. • Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct and Company Policies & Procedures. • Rotating on-call schedule for emergency response. • Presets, supports, and leads by example with a safety and quality-oriented attitude.
