Field Operations Engineer – Solar Industry

Job Title: Field Engineer / Site Engineer – Solar Industry Location: Miami, FL (Kendall Area) Salary: $70,000/year + Annual Performance Bonus Job Type: Full-Time A leading company in the renewable energy sector is seeking a Field Engineer / Site Engineer to support residential and commercial solar projects across South Florida. Key Responsibilities: • Support the planning, scheduling, and execution of solar installation projects from start to finish. • Oversee on-site construction activities to ensure quality and timelines are met. • Execute daily operations plans, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project goals. • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during installation or operations. • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams for timely material and equipment delivery. • Ensure all work complies with local and national codes and specifications. • Inspect and test system components (panels, inverters, mounting systems) before handover. • Work closely with engineers, contractors, and project managers for smooth communication. • Assist with training and onboarding of field operations staff. • Provide support for routine maintenance and repairs post-installation. • Monitor system performance and recommend improvements. • Prepare reports and documentation related to construction, operation, and maintenance. • Promote safety and ensure adherence to all regulations and protocols. Qualifications: • Minimum 3 years of field experience in construction; solar/renewable energy experience preferred. • Strong organizational and multitasking skills. • Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Monday.com, ProCore). • Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities. • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team. • Fluent in English (written and verbal). • Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S. (citizenship or unrestricted work permit). Solar Instaler Description The PayOli Solar Installer is responsible for assisting, organizing, and performing equipment placement, array layout, racking installation, and module arrangement. In this role, the team values quality, safety and production. As a solar installer, you value and service your customers in helping them switch efficiently to solar. Responsibilities: • Layout, assembly, and installation of the solar array and mounting system. • Assist with the electrical wiring of the products. Prepare and clean up the jobsite. • Provide exceptional customer service, to every customer, throughout the installation process with a professional appearance and attitude. • Additional duties may be required as needed. Qualifications: • 2+year(s) prior experience in solar installation/roof work including rooftops, climbing ladders and stairs, and performing repetitive duties such as lifting, bending and standing for long periods of time is preferred. • General construction/framing or electrical experience is a plus. • Ability to lift50-100 pounds of weight frequently throughout the assigned workday.
