Technician - Solar Panel Farms vegetation management

Hiring Seasonal employees to work in the fast-growing Solar Industry! Our company, Welby Solutions, has been maintaining the vegetation at utility-scale solar farms since 2018. This 2025 season, we plan to add significantly to our core group of employees. We are hiring now for seasonal employment – expected to begin April 1 and go through October. Our compensation is competitive - $18 to $22/hr., based on prior experience. Although these are seasonal jobs, there may be an opportunity for permanent employment when the season ends or an offer to be rehired next season, depending on your job performance. Job Description The Technician is full-time, with Monday-Friday day shifts. You will be working outdoors with your team performing various vegetation management services at a customer utility-scale solar job site. To be successful in this position you must display a strong work ethic while being reliable and a positive member of the team. Although helpful, this position does not require previous experience and you will be provided training on the equipment we use and programs we implement to successfully complete jobs. During the season, you will have the opportunity to prove yourself and potentially earn more responsibility. Your work and responsibilities will include: · Operating commercial Zero-turn mowers, tractors, and similar operating equipment (training provided) · Applying herbicide applications, if needed (training provided) · Adhering to company's safety policies · Maintaining assigned equipment · Ability and willingness to work flexible hours · Being a positive and reliable team member Applicants must meet the following requirements: · Work authorization for the U.S. · Physically able to work outdoors in the summer heat, the winter cold, and varying conditions. · Ability to travel with your crew if occasionally needed. · Safety minded, team-oriented, reliable, shows great attention to detail, willing to take on responsibilities and challenges, works well under stress, and punctual. · Basic math and ability to use technology such as iPhones/Tablets.
