Commercial Sheet Metal Mechanics Responsibilities: • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout requirements • Install and secure sheet metal structures and equipment such as ductwork, fittings, and hangers • Fabricate or alter parts at construction sites using shears, hammers, punches, and drills • Trim, file, grind, deburr, buff, and smooth surfaces, seams, and joints of assembled parts • Install insulation within ductwork and ensure proper sealing to prevent energy loss • Comply with all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment and proper handling of materials Commercial Sheet Metal Mechanic Requirements: • 3 + years of experience in installation of different duct (rectangle, spiral, oval, flex, etc.) • Assemble fiberglass and sheet metal ductwork • Measure, size, cut, and apply duct insulation • Must have ALL tools required for the trade • Strong working knowledge of job site safety - OSHA 10 preferred • Ability to work well with others, take instruction and work with minimal supervision • Ability to work a 40 hour workweek every week • Must be able to pass background and drug test • Must have OWN reliable transportation We offer a competitive salary for HVAC Sheet Metal Mechanics and your pay will be determined by your experience and a skill test.
