The Sheet Metal Mechanic will fabricate, assemble, install and repair sheet metal products and equipment such as ducts in residential, commercial or industrial environments. • *NO PER DIEM** Pay is up to $28 per hour Duties/Responsibilities: • Locate and mark position of pipe and/or duct connections and passage holes, then cut openings to accommodate pipe and/or duct fittings. • Trim, file, grind, deburr, buff, or smooth surfaces, seams, or joints of assembled parts, using hand tools or portable power tools. • Install, assemble, repair and clean systems to include Heating, Ventilation and air conditioning ducts, or other sheet metal products. • Perform layout activities, and material takeoffs as necessary • Study building plans and working drawings to determine work aids required and sequence of installation. • Promote, maintain and adhere to OSHA regulations. Experience: • Must have at least 2 year of related commercial experience. • Experience planning and layout. • Working experience using blueprints, technical drawings and work orders. Requirements: • Have reliable transportation to and from the worksite. • Have tools of the trades.
