Meridian Mechanical Services, LLC. is currently looking to fill a position within our team. Meridian currently manages all types of Commercial HVAC/R, Plumbing, Gas and Pipe service work. We are looking for a team member who is well versed in Sheetmetal mechanics. This position will report to specific job sites in and around Central, East, and West Florida as required. Sheetmetal Job Responsibilities: Install, HVAC mechanical systems, and equipment in commercial structures. Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, and other construction professionals. Follow building plans and specifications. Sheetmetal Qualifications / Skills: Skilled in the use of hand and power tools used in the Sheetmetal trade Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and safety practices Ability to read and follow blueprints and rough drawings Familiarity with general Sheetmetal practices and SMACNA Effective communication and personable skills Ability to complete projects unsupervised and unassisted Excellent problem solving skills Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously Proficiency in basic mathematics and conversion of measurements Ability to manage field personnel Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead crews to complete tasks in line with project schedule Education and Experience Requirements: High school diploma or GED certificate (preferred) 1-3 years’ experience in the Sheetmetal trade (preferred) Valid driver’s license and transportation Must have own tools (personal hand tools) Must be able to be able to speak English

Sheetmetal Job Responsibilities: Install, repair, and maintain HVAC mechanical systems, and equipment in commercial structures. Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, and other construction professionals. Follow building plans and specifications. Keep accurate records of time spent working, description of work performed, and materials used to include T&M (Time and material tickets). Develop and track production schedules. Ability to review and identify required materials to complete specific tasks. Understanding of OSHA requirements and processes Enforce safety procedures. Coordinate with project managers for material delivery dates and requirements Quality control reviews of system installation verifying conformance to project specifications and code requirements. Project document control and record keeping (i.e., vendor BOL, daily reports, packing slips, T&Ms, sign in sheets, OJTs, ETC Attendance of required project meetings. Understanding of project cost control Identify discrepancies between contract documents, specifications, and coordination efforts.
