Description: Coastal Mechanical, a Rogers Building Solutions business unit, is one of the largest mechanical contractors in the Southeast and is currently seeking sheet metal mechanics to work on large commercial projects in the Sarasota area. Work is primarily in the healthcare, educational, industrial and Government sectors. This role requires a minimum of 4-5 years of commercial sheet metal experience, strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in various environments, often under tight deadlines. Employer conducts background checks, motor vehicle checks and drug screening. This is a safety sensitive position. Requirements: Fabrication 1. Measuring and Cutting: Precisely measure and cut sheet metal using hand tools, power tools, or machines like shears and saws. 2. Assembling Components: Join sections of metal using welding, riveting, or soldering techniques. Installation 1. Ductwork Installation: Install HVAC systems, including ductwork, vents, and hoods, ensuring proper air distribution and compliance with building codes. Maintenance and Repairs 1. Repair Work: Fix or replace damaged parts, ensuring structural and functional integrity. Safety and Compliance 1. Blueprint Reading: Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute precise work. 2.
