Sheet Metal Mechanic (Start ASAP)

We are currently hiring Sheet Metal Mechanics to join our growing team! You will be working on commercial projects, around 40 to 50 hours a week, long term position with full benefits and opportunities for growth, these positions are able to start as soon as Monday, if interested APPLY NOW (Hablamos Espanol) Job Description As a Sheet Metal Mechanic, you will be responsible for installing various types of sheet metal ductwork, including spiral, galvanized, rectangular, double wall, and fiberglass. You will also be required to measure and cut the appropriate size of sheet metal, install preassembled ducts, and interpret blueprints to complete layouts when needed. This role requires a general knowledge of piping and controls and the ability to use scribers, dividers, and squares to mark dimensions on materials. Chemical Processing Wash Line (Sheet metal) Technician - 2nd Shift

The Chemical Wash Line Technician prepares metal surfaces for bonding with inspection, phosphoric acid anodization, deoxidization and alkaline washes utilizing approved HCOA processes. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Provide their internal customers with correct products and services, on-time • Create, communicate, and accomplish daily department schedules • Keep WOs and associated documentation with each part throughout the manufacturing process and providing documentation to their internal customer • Retain part traceability throughout the manufacturing process • Keep Cetec order location data current and correct • Understanding and utilization of HWI 40801-7 and all other pertinent HCOA Operation Procedures or Work Instructions • Perform surface preparation processes utilizing approved work instructions and work packages • With the aid of lifting device, carefully maneuver sheet metal parts in and out of various chemical treatment tanks in accordance with specific specifications and instructions • Responsible for the upkeep and general housekeeping in and around the wash line tanks • Use voltage charged racks to rack aircraft parts and portable voltmeters • Visual inspection of surface treated metal using company provided lights • Ensure work areas are clean and free from Foreign Object Debris • All other duties as assigned Qualifications: • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) • Chemical wash line/chemical surface preparation of sheet metal experience • Ability to read, comprehend and adhere to technical data • Microsoft Office Suite and data entry into ERP systems Physical Demands/ ADA Compliance: The employee will be required to successfully pass the HCOA Respirator Qualification program as an essential job duty due to exposure to particulates and fumes. Operators are required to stand for a full shift while wearing full PPE in a heated environment. Must be able to lift 50lbs. Correctable vision to 20/20 with full depth perception. Ability to pass DOT Drug Testing requirements (49 CFR Part 40). Hours: 2:00pm-10:30pm. Monday through Friday. Onsite only. Description: Coastal Mechanical, a Rogers Building Solutions business unit, is one of the largest mechanical contractors in the Southeast and is currently seeking sheet metal mechanics to work on large commercial projects in the Sarasota area. Work is primarily in the healthcare, educational, industrial and Government sectors. This role requires a minimum of 4-5 years of commercial sheet metal experience, strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in various environments, often under tight deadlines. Measuring and Cutting: Precisely measure and cut sheet metal using hand tools, power tools, or machines like shears and saws. 2.
