Commercial Sheet Metal Mechanic/Welder

Description Coastal Mechanical, a business unit of Rogers Building Solutions and one of the largest mechanical contractors in the Southeast, is currently seeking experienced commercial Sheetmetal mechanics to work in our Melbourne Florida Prefabrication Shop on large commercial projects. This is a Safety Sensitive position. Requirements Requirements and responsibilities: Mechanics 4-6 years Commercial Sheetmetal Duct installation experience Fabricate, assemble, install, sheet metal equipment and HVAC duct . Pass up to 1/2 inch weld test, 4G Must be able to read blueprints and read specs Follow safety procedures Ability to work independently on Special Projects Background checks, motor vehicle checks, drug screening performed Position may include constant walking/standing, lifting/pulling, climbing ladders and outside work with weather conditions. Essential Functions: Climbing up and down ladders Push, pull and frequently carry objects as tools, materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. - Stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. - Stand and walk for long periods of time. - See and hear well with or without correction to avoid safety hazards to themselves and others.
