Daily Responsibilities • Install, repair, and maintain sheet metal roofing systems, including flashing, gutters, and downspouts. • Measure, cut, and shape sheet metal using hand and power tools, such as shears, brakes, and soldering irons. • Secure and fasten metal panels using appropriate fasteners, adhesives, and welding techniques. • Seal seams and joints to ensure watertight installations. • Work at heights on ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts while following all safety protocols. • Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently. • Inspect and assess roof damage and recommend necessary repairs or replacements. • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards. Special Position Requirements • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. • Physically strong, agile, and dexterous, and undeterred by heights and adverse climatic conditions. • Stand for longer periods of time. • Available to work extended hours and some nights and weekends if needed. Job Title: Sheet Metal MechanicJob DescriptionAs a Sheet Metal Mechanic, you will be responsible for cutting and measuring sheet metal duct and hanging VAV boxes. You will work with various types of sheet metal duct including spiral, galvanized, rectangular, double wall, and fiberglass.
