Service Plumbers may occasionally assist neighboring regions as business needs arise. All field positions in the Service Department can enjoy a four-day work week schedule for improved work-life balance. Essential Job Duties: • Replace all manner of hydronic heating & cooling systems including domestic water heaters, tanks, boilers, air and water cooled chillers, pumps and more. • Replace control valves, check valves, balance valves and more. • Support all plumbing related needs for our Commercial Kitchen Service Group such as sink replacements and making plumbing repairs as needed for code compliance (air gaps, separation of high temperature DHW, etc.). • As the repair solution for all Service plumbing needs you will replace piping and fix leaks associated with a wide array of system piping types including twisted black iron, Type M, Type L, PVC/CPVC using a variety of connection types including brazed, soldered, pressed and Victaulic fittings. • Assist with start-up and commissioning of all replaced equipment. • Maintain accurate records of service, repairs, and inspections; submit daily job reports, time entries, and parts usage documentation. • Coordinate and communicate effectively with internal teams, customers, and building managers to schedule work and report progress. • Follow all safety, code, and regulatory requirements (EPA refrigerant handling, fall protection, lockout/tagout, etc.). • Mentor and support less experienced technicians; recommend system improvements and energy-efficiency upgrades when applicable. • Maintain company vehicle and tools in good condition, ensuring proper usage and a clean driving record. Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent technical training. • 2+ years of experience working on commercial or light-commercial plumbing systems in a field capacity. • Journeyman or Master plumber license required. • Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, pipe materials, drainage systems, water supply, fixture installation and repair techniques. • Strong mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of plumbing systems, boilers, tanks, piping, and pumps. • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently across multiple job sites. • Professional communication skills and customer-focused attitude. • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; ability to travel within assigned region. • Commitment to safety and compliance, including proper use of PPE and adherence to vehicle and job-site safety standards. Preferred Qualifications: • Licensed in Natural Gas, Propane (as applicable by state: VT, NH). • Previous experience in a multi-trade or mechanical contracting environment.
