Description Job Summary: Alliance Group is seeking a Licensed Plumber based in South Burlington, VT to join our growing Install team. The Licensed Plumber will be responsible for installations, routine maintenance, and inspections associated with commercial plumbing systems, as well as assisting with regular service-related tasks for commercial HVAC systems. Individuals must demonstrate excellent communication skills, as well as an aptitude for problem solving, time management, and customer service. Key Responsibilities • Utilize core plumbing skills such as using hand tools, plumbing tools, and power tools to perform plumbing installations and repairs (pro-press, threading, soldering, etc.) • Install plumbing equipment and measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe to required angle as needed • Accurately read blueprints and other technical drawings • Determine the appropriate size(s) and pathway(s) for pipe installations, including accommodating water supply networks and waste drainage systems • Inspect and test plumbing systems to ensure they are up to code, meet all building and safety standards, and job specifications are met • Utilize HVAC knowledge for relevant projects and write ups for repair recommendations on jobsites • Assist with service-related tasks for commercial HVAC systems, including preventative maintenance and service calls that require troubleshooting • Perform heavy lifting as needed and adhere to safety protocols • Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within budget • Maintain a clean and organized work environment Essential Qualifications and Competencies • Valid driver’s license required • Active plumbing license (journeyman or master) required • Medical Gas certificate preferred • Gas License preferred • Rigging certification preferred • OSHA 10 preferred • Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial plumbing preferred • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and other technical drawings • Knowledge of Build-Ops platform desired • Strong interpersonal communication skills • Ability to work efficiently • High level of reliability, follow-through, discretion, and integrity • Must possess proactive, positive problem-solving skills • Must be an energetic and enthusiastic collaborative team play • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) • Must maintain a company vehicle • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a daily basis • U.S. citizenship or a current, valid U.S. work permit is mandatory • Applicants must have a valid, unrestricted driver's license. • A background verification and motor vehicle check will be required. • A pre-employment post-offer Human Performance Examination is required for this position. Position Details Advertising/Posting Title Plumber Posting Summary Perform a wide variety of skilled plumbing functions to include the repair, installation, and preventative maintenance of plumbing equipment and systems. Access information utilizing computers. Promote a workplace that encourages safety within the Shop and field. Operate a university vehicle to transport materials, tools, and equipment. May be required to use an aerial lift.
