POSITION: Plumber/SteamfitterREPORTS TO: Senior Plumber/SteamfitterACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVE: This position is accountable for the installation and repair of heating systems, water supply, drainage, and disposal systems.PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: This position is accountable for the following: 1. Ability to perform emergency and routine repairs and preventive maintenance.2. Responsibility for the installation and repairs of water pipes, heating systems, drainage, and disposal systems.3. Responsibility for connecting necessary pipes for the efficient operation of water pipes, heating, drainage, and disposal systems.4. Responsibility for the maintenance and repair of plumbing, gas, and sanitary systems, and allied equipment.5. Must be familiar with pump operation, repair and maintenance, i.e. sewage ejectors, centrifugal, sump pumps, condensate pumps, etc.6. Responsibility for assisting in loading, assembling, etc., necessary equipment.7. Maintain records of work performed including labor and materials used; receive work orders and determine priorities, using the districts computerized maintenance management software (CMMS).8. Complete and close out CMMS work orders appropriately.9. Ability to read and interpret plans, sketches and blueprints as well as assist other employees the review of construction documents for both new and renovation projects.10. Assist outside contractors as needed and assist with design and review of in-house projects.11. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.LICENSES/SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS1. Must possess a High School Diploma or G.E.D. Certificate2. Must possess a Valid Massachusetts State drivers license.3.
