This generally includes new main line extensions, replacement of aging gas mains and services and relocating various facilities. Field Leaders typically oversee people and work in a broad geographic territory and are expected to ensure safe, reliable, delivery of gas to communities and large customers. They serve as role models for safe work practices, are visible in the field and help ensure work is performed in accordance with standards and procedures. They also actively manage the development and training of employees to improve individual and team performance. Field Leaders may be on call or asked to support operational activities and natural gas emergencies after hours or on weekends. They also may have unique shifts to oversee the work as required by the construction plan. Essential Functions • Demonstrate Safety Leadership by promoting and assuring a safe working environment, as well as, helping to support the continued improvement of natural gas public safety. • Provide leadership, direction, and performance coaching to the front-line workforce. Facilitate effective two-way communication, especially between front-line workers and the rest of the organization. • Serve as a consistent and regular presence at work sites providing leadership, direction and feedback to the front-line employees.
