Resumes can be submitted to hr@ adenacorporation.com AMC Masonry- Mason/ Bricklayer Summary: The Bricklayer will construct, erect, install, and repair structures using brick, block, stone, and other masonry materials. Primary Job Responsibilities: • Builds leads plum and levels at the proper height for coursing of units being used • Reads drawings and provides layout of walls, openings, embedded items, etc. • Establishes proper bond pattern for units being installed • Lays out and installs masonry grout and rebar per job requirements • Lays out and installs steel bearing plates • Calculates angles for rakes and cuts/installs masonry units to match • Installs masonry units to the line in a productive manner • Grinds out, chisels, or otherwise removes weathered, damaged or defective mortar joints and installs new mortar (tuckpointing) • Power washes finish masonry units clean by use of pressure washer and masonry cleaning detergent/acid • Rubs, scrapes, and patches finished masonry walls • Adheres to the company’s safety policies to create a safe work environment Other duties as assigned PM21 AMC Masonry- Mason/ Bricklayer Desired Qualifications/Skills: • High School Diploma or GED required • Sufficient education or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training that provides the desired knowledge, skills and characteristics to perform mason duties • 10 Hour OSHA Certification or willingness to obtain within ninety (90) days of employment • Good eyesight with or without correction • Ability to lift heavy objects in a repetitive manner • Ability to work at heights without fear including work on scaffolding and ladders • Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency • Ability to use equipment and tools safely • Must have a good work ethic, and the ability to understand and carry out written or verbal instructions • Ability to perform on a regular basis in outside weather conditions consisting of wet, hot, humid and/or freezing temperatures, also contending with dirt and dust • Ability to read building blueprints • Must be willing and able to travel to jobsites which may at times require overnight stays away from home • Excellent communication skills PM21 Equal Opportunity Employer
