Skills required for position: - able to work with a team (from a single partner to over twenty) - experience with power tools and around construction equipment (drills, basic hand tools, ladders) - some knowledge of electronics installations (running cable; familiarity with basic connections USB, HDMI, Cat6 etc.) - willingness to learn, be trained in skills, and cooperate with fellow crew members - any existing certifications will be considered for your starting rate! POSITION SUMMARY The Site Supervisor is a key field leader responsible for overseeing day-to-day construction activities on-site. This role ensures that work is completed safely, on schedule, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. Working closely with project managers and subcontractors, the Site Supervisor coordinates crews, manages site logistics, and enforces safety protocols. This position plays a vital role in maintaining progress toward project milestones, resolving on-site issues, and ensuring clear communication between field operations and the project team. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, construction experience ideally with data centers or other complex MEP-heavy projects and a commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Site Management & Leadership • Supervise daily on-site construction operations and ensure compliance with schedules and specifications. • Coordinate and monitor subcontractor activities, ensuring work is aligned with project goals. • Maintain clear communication with the Project Manager and other stakeholders regarding progress and issues. Project Execution & Quality Control • Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts. • Ensure installation work meets all design and code requirements. • Conduct quality checks and proactively resolve any construction deficiencies. Health & Safety Compliance • Enforce safety policies and lead daily safety meetings/toolbox talks. • Monitor site conditions and correct any unsafe work practices. • Ensure compliance with OSHA and company-specific safety regulations. Resource & Material Coordination • Monitor deliveries, inventory, and material usage to avoid delays. • Schedule equipment use and coordinate logistical needs across the site. • Assist with procurement tracking and supplier communications when needed. Reporting & Documentation • Maintain daily logs of work progress, inspections, incidents, and crew activity. • Support project documentation processes, including change orders and site reports. • Attend and contribute to internal construction coordination meetings. Team Development • Provide mentorship and support to crew members and junior supervisors. • Promote a culture of accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement. QUALIFICATIONS Education & Experience • High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary education in construction management or a related field is an asset. • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in commercial or industrial construction; data center experience preferred. Technical Skills • Strong understanding of construction documents, schedules, and safety protocols. • Knowledge of MEP systems and their integration in high-tech environments. • Comfortable using construction management software and digital tools. Certifications (Preferred) • OSHA 30 certification. • First Aid / CPR certification. • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
