Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Mason Tender to support our construction projects by assisting with masonry and related tasks on-site. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in concrete forming, rebar installation, and masonry work, with a solid understanding of construction processes. This role involves working closely with masons and other trades to ensure efficient project completion while maintaining safety and quality standards. Candidates should possess extensive construction site experience and be familiar with blueprint reading and schematics. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects including renovation, restoration, and new construction in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities • Assist masons with concrete forming, finishing, and placement of concrete materials • Support rebar installation according to project specifications and schematics • Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and effectively • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for various projects • Prepare work areas by setting up scaffolding, formwork, and other necessary structures • Perform tasks related to plastering, stucco application, caulking, and trim carpentry as needed • Aid in tile laying, metal stud framing, drywall installation, roofing support, and carpentry tasks • Support demolition or renovation activities including restoration work • Ensure all work complies with safety protocols and quality standards on-site • Assist in construction estimating tasks when required by providing material or labor input Skills • Proven experience in masonry-related trades such as concrete finishing, stucco, or tile laying • Strong knowledge of concrete forming, rebar installation, and blueprint reading • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation relevant to construction sites • Ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings accurately • Skilled in plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, metal stud framing, roofing support, and welding techniques • Experience with renovation projects or restoration work is a plus • Familiarity with construction estimating processes is advantageous • Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions and safety guidelines • Physical ability to perform demanding tasks including lifting heavy materials and working at heights if necessary This role provides a vital contribution to our construction team by supporting skilled tradespeople in delivering high-quality projects efficiently.
