Overview We are seeking a versatile and reliable Travel Construction Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in a variety of construction tasks, ranging from building and installing dock shelters to performing ceiling tile grid work and other general construction duties. This role requires the flexibility to travel to different project locations and work on various construction projects as needed. Key Responsibilities Dock Shelters: • Install and repair dock shelters, including weather barriers, seals, and loading dock systems. • Ensure proper safety protocols are followed when working at elevated heights or with heavy machinery. Ceiling Tile Grids: • Install, repair, or replace ceiling tile grids and tiles in commercial and industrial settings. • Ensure the tiles are properly aligned and securely installed, following all safety guidelines. General Construction Tasks: • Perform various construction tasks, including painting, installing doors and other building components, and handling general maintenance and repair work. • Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. • Perform caulking and plastering as required on job sites. Site Preparation & Clean-Up: • Prepare job sites for work by unloading materials, setting up scaffolding, and ensuring tools are available. • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, including proper disposal of construction debris. Safety Compliance: • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and report any hazards to supervisors. • Collaborate with team members to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. Travel & Scheduling • Be available for travel to various project locations as required, sometimes on short notice. • Work flexible hours depending on project needs, including weekends and evenings. Experience Candidates should possess experience in the following areas: • Construction site experience with a focus on hands-on labor. • Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform manual labor in varying conditions (indoor and outdoor). • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces when necessary. • Must be willing to travel to various project locations, sometimes with short notice. • Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and other construction equipment. • Ability to operate scissor lift. • Experience driving a 20-ft enclosed trailer is required. • Willingness and ability to travel long distances when required.
