• Position: Construction Estimator • Location: Calhoun, GA • Duration: Full-Time // Permanent role Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in interior finishes and project management. Must be able to analyze project specifications and prepare accurate quotes/bids. This role requires excellent communication skills, must be able to work under pressure and must be able to meet deadlines. The Construction Estimator will play a crucial role in ensuring that bids are prepared accurately and presented to customers on time. Duties: • Review blueprints, specifications, and other documents to prepare detailed bids. • Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for accurate pricing. • Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing. • Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and gather data for cost estimation. • Prepare detailed reports outlining estimated costs, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead. • Monitor ongoing projects to ensure adherence to budget and implement cost control measures as needed. • Prepare estimates for submission to customers for bid solicitation. • Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and techniques to provide informed recommendations for Alternates & VE Options during the estimating process. Requirements: • At least 2 years’ experience estimating for the construction industry or a related field is preferred. • Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices. • Proficiency in using estimating software such as Stack CT, Bluebeam or similar tools. • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate cost assessments. • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for clear reporting and collaboration with team members. • Familiarity with cost control methods and techniques in the construction industry. • A degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred but not required. • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
