The ideal candidate has deep field experience, strong subcontractor management skills, and the ability to keep several homes progressing on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards. This is a senior-level field leadership role that requires excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities. Responsibilities Multi-Project Oversight. Manage several homes at various stages of construction at the same time. Plan and coordinate daily site operations across multiple job sites. Prioritize tasks and maintain a consistent site rotation schedule. Scheduling & Workflow. Create and maintain construction schedules for all assigned projects. Coordinate trade sequencing and critical path activities across multiple builds. Ensure each home meets its milestone dates. Quality Assurance Inspect subcontractor work to ensure compliance with plans, codes, and company standards. Identify deficiencies early and enforce corrective actions. Safety Management Enforce OSHA and company safety policies on all job sites. Conduct safety meetings and maintain clean, hazard-free work areas. Subcontractor Management Direct and manage trades across multiple homes. Hold subcontractors accountable for manpower, quality, and schedule. Address performance issues and escalate when needed. Materials & Logistics Coordinate takeoffs, material orders, deliveries, and returns. Verify material accuracy and ensure proper storage to prevent delays or damage. Budget & Cost Control Track field purchase orders and verify subcontractor invoices. Minimize waste and avoid unnecessary change orders. Report any budget or schedule impacts promptly. Communication & Reporting Act as the main on-site contact for field crews, project managers, and homeowners. Provide daily updates and maintain accurate logs, photos, and reports. Use Buildertrend, Procore, or similar software tools consistently. Inspections & Compliance Schedule and manage all required inspections with local building departments. Ensure through quality check and documentation for key hold points defined by the management for each home. Ensure complete code compliance and resolve issues quickly. Oversee closeout, punch lists, and final inspections. Deliver completed homes with minimal deficiencies. Risk Management & Problem Solving Identify schedule risks or design issues early and develop solutions. Escalate challenges to project management when necessary. Continuous Improvement. Recommend improvements to construction processes and trade scopes. Mentor junior staff or assistant superintendents. Qualifications 10–15+ years of progressive residential construction experience. Must have experience managing multiple home builds simultaneously. Strong knowledge of building codes, residential construction methods, and safety standards. Proficiency with construction scheduling and project management software. Excellent communication, organization, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills. Ability to read and interpret plans and technical documents. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
