Pipelayer / General Laborer

Pipelayers and laborers for an underground utility company. Rate of pay will be based on past experience. Must have a valid driver's license with reliable transportation up to 1-hour commute and be able to pass drug testing. Past experience isn't necessary but must be able to work well with others and be courteous to the general public. There is a 60-day probational period where employees will be evaluated for hourly raises. Company DescriptionIronwood Construction is a family-owned and operated company. Construction Estimator – Crossville, TN - $80,000 - $120,000 • relo packages available • also open to hiring a recent graduate Required: • Bachelor's degree in architecture, civil engineering, construction management or related field • 5+ years of experience in substitute for education • 5+ years of estimating experience in the commercial construction industry • Must have experience with volumetric takoffs, cost estimates, reading construction drawings and completing bids • Experience in pre-construction, heavy civil, excavation or earth/dirt-moving work • Previous experience working with vendors and tracking inventory of equipment and materials Responsibilities: • A construction client of Insight Global's is seeking a Construction Estimator to become part of their growing team in Crossville, TN. The Estimator will be responsible for assisting with several different types of construction projects – mainly earthwork, excavation and pre-construction. They should work well with others, be highly organized and detail-oriented, meet deadlines and strive to stay within budget. Responsibilities include: • Prepares and estimates budget costs for construction by studying plans and specifications. • Evaluates offers to purchase by site requirements, additions, and costing changes. • Resolves cost differences by analyzing and collecting info. • Writes up and presents budgets, reports, and project plans. • Develops bids for construction projects. • Works closely with architects and other professionals. • Schedules meetings with clients, site managers, and staff. • Navigates and understands building codes. • Processes paperwork and travels to building sites as required. • Monitors construction processes. • Stays up to date with safety codes and improvements in construction.

Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager is responsible for training and overseeing the work of the accounting staff, has final authorization of checks to pay bills, prepares weekly payroll, has responsibility for HR/onboarding and all non-tax audits (Workers Comp, Personal Property, etc), and reports financial position to upper management. Also provides support to Project Managers for project setup and budgets. 1. Oversee and manage the work of the Accounting staff for ETC Construction. 2. Train and develop staff as needed. 3. Review, approve and sign checks for all vendor payments from the A/P Manager. Assist the A/P Manager in learning how to enter new vendors and collect W9s for 1099 verification. Verify the vendor payment is entered in Quickbooks and a W9 is on file prior to mailing checks. 4. Review all invoice drafts prior to sending to customers. Assist the A/R Manager to ensure complete and accurate invoices are being sent to customers. 5. Contact Project Managers for necessary support to get information on costs, budgets, billing issues, etc. for active projects. 6. Communicate with PMs to support A/P when charges are showing up without a project name. 7. Enter new project information and budgets in Quickbooks, and close projects when PM notifies you that project is complete. 8. Prepare weekly payroll. Make weekly journal entries in Quickbooks to record the employer portion of payroll taxes to separate Direct labor taxes from Admin labor taxes. 9. Responsible for all new hire paperwork, W4s, adding to payroll, set up any health insurance deductions, and any other payments such as child support or other garnishments. 10. Responsible for all paperwork and separation notice for employees who quit or are terminated for any reason. Assure any health, dental, vision and child support payments are stopped the date of separation. 11. Responsible for annual license renewals for the business. 12. Responsible for providing timely information to cpa for tax preparation. 13. Responsible for overseeing staff for 1099 preparation in January. 14. Responsible for filing the annual report, and sending information for the TPPR (tangible personal property report) to cpa. 15. Oversee month-end close with staff. Ensure that bank and credit cards are reconciled prior to billing (by the 5th of each month). Review and provide feedback to A/P and A/R staff with any open questions. Fill out Quality Control Review for staff and provide questions for any missing information. 16. Work with accounting consultant and cpa to provide any additional information needed throughout the year. Each item above will have its own set of detailed instructions.
