Finisher - Humboldt, CA

JOB DESCRIPTION Sundt is seeking Concrete Finisher's for our project in Humboldt, CA. Pay rate is total compensation hourly wage of $70.12 / hr. ( Base Wage - $49.87 (eligible for overtime.) Cash Fringes - $20.25 (not eligible for overtime). Work schedule is 40+ hrs per week for a duration of 1 year. Basic Job Functions Provide leadership, management, and supervision necessary for the planning, lay-out, and performing all types of concrete work in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards. Plan and coordinate the efforts of all foremen or crews under his/her supervision and provide all resources needed for the work to be done safely, correctly, and efficiently. Work with other foreman or superintendents to ensure that the work is coordinated and sequenced to assure that the flow of work and the schedule is maintained. Key Responsibilities • Maintain positive working relationships with client and superintendent. • Maintain a safe and clean work environment and assure that high quality work is always being performed. • Conduct and/or participate in all safety, quality, production, and planning meetings. • Assure all foreman and crew evaluations/performance agreements are conducted. • Champion and promote a Continuous Improvement culture with all members of the crew(s). • Assure the accuracy of all time sheets, quantity, and productivity reports. • Maintain and monitor the 6- and 1-week schedules, coordinate with the master schedule and be actively engaged in developing and executing work packages and task plans. • Adhere to and support all company policies, procedures and "The Sundt Way" regarding the work and people you supervise. • Provide appropriate coaching and mentoring for crew members to help them be the best they can be. • Minimum Job Requirements • Must have a minimum of five years' (level I) and six-plus years' (level II) experience in the relevant construction market and an in-depth understanding of the trade(s) being supervised. • Must set standards of excellence in leadership, safety, quality, and productivity for the members of his/her crew. • Possess effective verbal and written communication skills. • Note: Job Description is subject to change at any time and may include other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements • Work up to a 12-hour shift doing hard physical work in varying temperatures and outside conditions. • Climb and maintain balance on steel/wood framework, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds. • Will lift, push, or pull objects up to 50lbs. on an occasional basis • Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis • Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures • May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis • May stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis • Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to steel toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.) • Move in and around confined, cluttered, and uneven areas. • May use telephone, computer system, email, or other electronic devices on a limited basis to communicate with internal and external customers or vendors. • Safety Level Safety-Sensitive Note: Jobs with the Safety-Sensitive designation are those that include tasks or duties that the employer reasonably believes could affect the safety and health of the employee performing the task or others such as operating a vehicle, operating equipment, operating machinery or power tools, repairing/maintaining the operation of any vehicle/equipment, the handling/disposal/transport of hazardous materials, or the handling/treatment/disposal of potentially flammable/combustible materials. Construction Manager

Overwatch Construction Management is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced owner's representative Construction Manager to join our team. As a leader in the construction industry, Overwatch Construction Management is committed to delivering high-quality projects while providing exceptional client service. The Construction Manager will play a vital role in overseeing and ensuring the successful completion of various construction projects, overseeing project planning, design management, scheduling, budgeting, and construction execution for education, healthcare, and federal projects as an Owner’s Representative. Responsibilities • Provide on-site day-to-day construction administration. • Manage and coordinate the Project Engineer(s), inspectors and interns as assigned. • Provide coordination and communication between the construction administrator, the contractor, the campus, the inspectors, and the design professional. • Review all contract documents and ensure all appropriate CSU procedures are used. Recommend revisions or new procedures as necessary. • Monitor overall budget and schedule, and advise construction administrator of any trends that affect the timely procedures and cost effective completion of the project. • Attend weekly and special construction meetings to evaluate and control progress, quality, budget, and other items for action. • Review and coordinate all services provided by vendors for compliance with service agreement requirements. Review and approve all invoices submitted by vendors, and then submit recommendations to the construction administrator for final approval. • Evaluate and make recommendations to construction administrator regarding proposed contract changes and resolution of all claims. As directed by construction administrator, participate in or conduct negotiations to resolve claims or disputes. • Maintain a change order log that includes a cumulative total of changes to the contract, and reconcile change order costs with contractor payment requests. Monitor all potential change orders and track project contingency at all times. • Manage, monitor and report on overall project budget health. • Coordinate inspection, final acceptance, and scheduling of occupancy. • Responsible for administration of project closeout out.
