Base pay range $21.00/hr - $28.00/hr Direct message the job poster from PEKE Engineering & Systems Quick Overview We’re seeking a CNC Machinist/Programmer skilled in GibbsCAM to program and run Haas CNC machines for precision component manufacturing. This role combines hands-on machining with CNC programming, including milling, drilling, and lathe operations. You’ll inspect parts with precision tools, apply GD&T data, and ensure every product meets the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities • Program & Operate CNC Machines – Write and run CNC programs using GibbsCAM; set up materials, tooling, and Haas CNC machines to produce high-quality R&D and production parts. • Perform Machining Operations – Execute milling, drilling, turning, and finishing operations with precision. • Interpret Technical Documentation – Read and apply blueprints, travelers/routers, work instructions, and GD&T data. • Collaborate with Engineering – Partner with engineers to develop, test, and refine CNC programs and machining processes. • Inspect & Report – Use monitoring and measuring equipment (M&ME) to verify dimensional accuracy; generate inspection and First Article Inspection (FAI) reports. • Maintain Equipment & Workspace – Perform preventive maintenance, keep machines and tools in top condition, and maintain a clean, safe work area. • Adapt & Contribute – Work independently to troubleshoot machining issues, adjust priorities, and support company goals. Required Qualifications • Experience operating CNC machines and common shop equipment (drill press, Bridgeport mill, manual lathe, hydraulic press, band saw, hand tools, welding, etc.) • High School Diploma or equivalent • Knowledge of CNC programming and Haas machining centers • Ability to use precision measurement tools to inspect machined parts • Strong math, problem-solving, and communication skills • Reliable with accurate and timely documentation skills • Safety first attitude • Able to work independently while maintaining confidentiality • Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English • Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening Preferred Qualifications • Trade or Technical Associate’s Degree in Machining or equivalent experience • Experience with Gibbs CAM software Why Join Our Team We believe in taking care of our team—both inside and outside of work.
