POSITION SUMMARY The 3D Machine Operator is responsible for the operation, cleaning, and maintenance of 3D sand printing machines. Responsible for assisting with the transfer and organization of orders and electronic files. Transfers the appropriate materials (sand, resin, activator, cleaner, etc.) to and from the designated areas. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Assist with the organization and transfer of electronic files and paper documentation from computer server to 3D sand printing machine to foundry. Operate, clean, and maintain 3D sand printing machines while harvesting, inspecting, and cleaning 3D sand printed parts. Partner with operators and 3D Team Leader regarding order flow, priorities, problems, and potential issues. Transfer parts to conveyance system to ensure oven curing and continuous delivery of production components to foundry operations. Transfer production materials (sand, resin, activator, cleaner, waste, etc.) to and from designated storage areas and usage points. Regularly review, follow, and recommend modifications to production and quality standards. Perform quality inspections on printed parts at various stages in the production process for quality requirements and, if applicable, make recommendations regarding machine settings & process adjustments. Maintaining cleanliness of equipment and general facilities. Additional duties as assigned. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred 1+ year of previous 3D machine operating experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience Ability to work well autonomously and with other team members in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment. Possess a moderate degree of general computer proficiency. (Basic understanding / experience with SAP system a plus). Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting. Strong prioritization, reasoning, problem-solving, planning, & communication skills. Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as internal and external clients. Ability to work overtime as necessary.
