CNC Machinist Job Description Job Summary The CNC Machinist will be responsible for setting up, and operating CNC routers to produce custom cabinet components. You will work closely with the shop team to ensure projects are delivered with accuracy and on time. JOB SPECIFICATIONS: Proficient of job specifications for Machinist and the following working skills: Set up and operate all machine shop equipment and tools with little or no assistance; knowledge of shop math to calculate dimensions/angles; knowledge of various metal properties; thorough knowledge of metal paperwork procedures; able to work from blueprints, SBS, AD notes, and engineering work orders; able to recognize proper tooling and set up procedures; able to layout and manufacture or modify parts per required paperwork or sample; able to hold tolerances of .0002 and ½ degree; set up and operate CNC equipment as well as make tool offsets, able to machine all types of metal with proper tooling; have adequate knowledge of use of indicators, height gauges and other precision set-up devices; able to service machines on a daily basis; operation of reader printer; knowledge of ATA codes; general knowledge of all aircraft manuals and related materials; general knowledge of all aircraft manuals and related materials; knowledge of all applicable F.A.R.’s and company policies and procedures; thorough knowledge of paperwork procedures including job clocking system, routine and non-routine cards, S.R.M.’s service bulletins and work sign off/sell-off procedures.
