Description: Key Responsibilities The CNC Machinist is responsible to operate one or more machine tools or special purpose machines to machine metal parts to required specifications. Key Deliverables of the Position · Run Standard operating procedures on multiple axis machines · Contact Manufacturing Services to troubleshoot process problems · Change perishable tooling when required · Install new tool holders · Follow set up instructions to set up CNC machines · Following inspection plans to inspect parts · Communicate to co-workers on status of cell operations · Participate in continuous improvement activities · Troubleshoot tooling as required · Work holding (fixturing chucking) Requirements: Required Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED required; a minimum of 5 years of experience with manual and CNC machines, multi-axis preferred. Job Summary: Responsible for set up and operation a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. Ability to fabricate, modify, or repair mechanical instruments, fabricate and modify parts to make or repair machine tools or maintain industrial machines. Job DescriptionMachinist This position requires an active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret clearance to be considered. As required by our governmental client, this position requires being a US Citizen. A Machinist must possess extensive expertise in interpreting project requirements from complex blueprints, drawings, or verbal instructions. They compute dimensions and tolerances for intricate assemblies and research hardware, utilizing CAD software for analysis and importing various file formats into CAM software like Tek-Soft, ESPRIT, and CAMplete. This role involves programming and editing Level 2 G-code and M-Code for CNC machines, including 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis operations. The Machinist applies advanced mathematics, computer proficiency, and engineering principles to program and operate CNC lathes, milling machines, laser and wire EDM machines, and employs rapid prototyping techniques for aeronautical components. Compensation & Benefits: Estimated Starting Salary Range for Machinist II: DOE $28.36 - $32.34Pay commensurate with experience.
