We are seeking a skilled CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Machinist to join our team. The Machinist is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce high precision parts and components used in drilling equipment. Your work will be crucial in ensuring the accuracy and quality of our products, meeting both industry standards and rig specifications. This role ensures the optimal performance of CNC equipment. The Machinist will work closely with engineering teams, field operators, and maintenance personnel to support drilling operations. Ensure machines are running efficiently and safely. • Programming: Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD/CAM files. Write and modify CNC programs as needed to meet design specifications. Setting up, adjusting, and operating conventional and CNC machines used to perform precision machining operations. • Capability to calculating dimensions and tolerances using instruments such as micrometers and Vernier calipers. • Ability to manufacturing parts using blueprints and/or patterns. • Proficient in operating the Machining center. • Capability to operator with proficiency grinding machine, drill press, and welding machine. • Capability to operator the Milling machine, metal lathe machine and CNC machine manually. • Capability to operator other shop equipment and machines. Ability to aligning and securing holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, or materials onto machines. • Quality Control: Inspect and measure finished parts using various precision instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure they meet required tolerances and quality standards. • Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on CNC machines to keep them in optimal working condition. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical or programming issues. • Tooling and Setup: Select and install appropriate tools and fixtures for each job. Adjust machine settings based on material and part requirements. • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production runs, including machine settings, part specifications, and any issues encountered. • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues. • Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and other team members to ensure project requirements are met and to address any production issues. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adhere to company policies. • May be called upon to perform duties comparable to the above as the above duties describe only the typical, primary features of the job (and should not be construed as describing all the duties which are part of the job) QUALIFICATIONS: • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in CNC machining or a related field is preferred. • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC Machinist, preferably in the drilling or manufacturing industry. • Skills: Proficiency in operating CNC machines and using precision measuring tools. Strong understanding of CNC programming, including Gcode and Mcode. • Strong basic math skills including decimals and fractions. • Technical Knowledge: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD/CAM files. Familiarity with various materials and machining processes used in the drilling industry. - Ability to work with gauges and calipers. • Experience with Solid Works is a plus. • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in machining processes and quality control. • Problem Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve mechanical or programming issues efficiently. • Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with colleagues. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: • Physical requirements for positions include bending, hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch crawl, bend, twist, talk, hear, and smell. • Physical - Continuously standing or walking, bending, climbing, and kneeling. The employee may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. • Visual/Sensory - This position requires regular need to give moderate attention with one or two senses at a time. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus • Work Environment – Warehouse, yard, and/or office. • Climate: This position requires the incumbent to have the ability to work in ambient hot and/or cold seasonal environments Ability to lift and move heavy materials and components. • Comfort withstanding for extended periods and working in a shop/warehouse environment. • Should be able to work closely and collaboratively with fellow employees. • Physical stamina to handle the demands of the role, including lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.
