CNC Machinist I

Description: Summary/Objective CNC machinists works with computer numeric controlled (CNC ) heavy machinery from setup to operation to produce parts and tools from metal, plastic or other materials. Computer numeric controlled equipment is precision machinery that cuts, grinds, or drills into the material. The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible. Participate in mandatory safety or PPE training and notify their supervisor when new PPE is necessary. • Maintain a clean, neat and groomed personal appearance to reflect a positive image of themselves and the company. • Ability to use and interpret measurements of calipers and micrometers. • Ability to work with blueprints. • Ability to troubleshoot and perform maintenance on equipment as necessary • Understands a worker’s right to stop work when they feel their own or other’s personal safety is jeopardized. • Willingness to accept other duties or assignments as deemed necessary by business needs. Position Type/Work Schedule • This is a full-time position, and the days of work are Monday through Friday. Occasional weekends and/or holidays may be scheduled. Employee may be scheduled to work overtime and be available for emergency overtime when the need arises. Education and Experience • High school diploma or GED is preferred. • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in set-up and operation of CNC Lathe primarily for the threading of API 8rd tubulars. CNC Machinist - Night Shift

CNC Machinist -Night Shift (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM) Phoenix Technology Services USA Inc. is a progressive and innovative Directional Drilling Company. Driven by our client’s needs, we are committed to providing more efficient and cost-effective drilling operations. We have openings for CNC Machinist - Night Shift based out of our Midland, TX location. Reporting to the US Facilities Maintenance, Fab and Machining Manager, the CNC Machinist is responsible for basic programming, set up, and operation of Weiler E70/E90 Lathes. Responsibilities also include: • Generate CNC programs for E70/E90 using Weiler One1 Control. • Set-up and operate Weiler E70/E90. • Verify and record part dimensions and adjust machines accordingly to obtain desired quality of finalized product. • Perform maintenance requirements on machines and maintain working area and equipment. • Proficient at using a four-jaw chuck. • Ability to edit programs and make adjustment for offsets. • Perform other machining and QC related tasks as required. • Proficient at using measuring tools. Ect. Calipers, depth gauges, mics. • Operate manual mill when needed. • Assist other departments with various projects when time permits. • Perform all duties to meet the responsibilities listed in the Employee and Corporate HSE Handbooks. • Perform duties according to the Company’s quality system procedures and work instructions. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years or more experience with CNC Lathe Machine set-up. Understanding G&M code and conversational programing a plus but not required. API threading, as well as experience with any CNC lathe Machine are considered an asset. Previous oil and gas experience an asset.
