Setup Machinist - CNC Lathes (Night Shift)

Role Overview We’re seeking a serious, experienced Setup Machinist to join our high-performance lathe department on the NIGHT SHIFT. This position operates on a standard 4-day workweek with 10-hour shifts (4x10s), offering long weekends and excellent work-life balance. Applicants must be willing to work nights, with an additional pay differential for this shift. Key Responsibilities · Set up Mazak CNC lathes with precision (tooling, offsets, part zeroing) · Read and interpret engineering drawings including GD&T · Load, stage, and align tooling per job requirements · Collaborate with programmers and QC for first article approval · Use precision tools for in-process checks · Troubleshoot tooling/setup issues · Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation Candidate Expectations · Minimum 3 years CNC lathe setup experience; Mazak preferred · Proficiency with tool offsets, workholding, and tight-tolerance machining · Independent problem-solving and setup ownership · Commitment to quality and continuous improvement · Availability to work 4x10 night shifts (pay differential included) Compensation Range The expected salary range for this position is $45,000 to $65,000/year, depending on experience (DOE). This is a NIGHT SHIFT role on a 4x10 schedule, with an additional pay differential.
