JOB DESCRIPTION TITLE: Metal Fabrication/CNC Plasma Operator DESCRIPTION OF JOB TASK TO BE PERFORMED: Must be able to run CNC plasma & oxy-fuel pattern torch.Be able to read blueprints, run a band saw, hydraulic presses, ironwork, shear, rolls, brakes, hand torch, grinder and sander. Able to operate forklifts, hoist, cranes and use a tape measure. Being able to weld and cut with torch to pass a welding test would be an additional benefit. MUST BE CONFIDENT WORKING WITH A COMPUTER TO LEARN HOW TO RUN CNC Plasma Table. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Sufficient schooling to be able to read, write, add and subtract. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: One year in metal fabrication and or plasma torch cutting required. Understand and comply with schedule changes and prioritization of company needs to meet goals. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Be able to bend, twist, lift up to 50 pounds. Work on feet during a minimum 8 hour workday, five days or more a week. Be able to see & hear forklifts and cranes moving around. Lifting 50 pounds will be very seldom, employee will have use of crane, hoist and forklifts. Minimum 10 hours a day standing – constant.
