CNC Machinist

This position involves setting up and operating CNC machines, performing in-process inspections, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities: • Operate and set up CNC machines, including those with Fanuc, Haas, and Mitsubishi controls. • Perform setups involving chuck changing, collet changing, tool arrangements, and tool touch-offs. • Read and interpret blueprints, travelers, sketches, and related technical data, including GD&T tolerances. • Conduct first-article and in-process inspections, accurately document inspection data, and maintain precise part counts. • Adjust machine speeds and feeds for turning and milling operations to ensure optimal performance. • Perform daily machine maintenance, including maintaining fluid levels and recognizing and replacing worn cutters and tool bits. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols. MACHINIST

We are currently looking for a Machinist to join our team. Employees in this classification have a basic understanding and competency in machine shop operations. Essential Job Functions • Program, setup and operate CNC and/or manual machine tools • Ability to machine surfaces within .005" consistently • Plan the sequence of cutting and finishing on routine projects • Inspect parts to specifications on drawings using employee owned measuring tools • Read and understand basic measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, depth gages, tape measures, etc. • Safe powered industrial truck operation • Overhead crane operation to load and unload material Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (Competencies), Education • Ability to review and understand drawings, specifications and tolerances • Basic math skills. Fraction to decimal conversion used regularly • Basic computer skills Education and Experience • HS diploma or GED equivalent preferred Base Compensation Range: $22.25 - $26.25 per hour Shift Differential: 10% Variable Compensation Range: Incentive bonus eligibility up to 10% of gross annual salary base on company performance (as of 2024).
