Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking experienced CNC Mill Machinists for direct hire roles with a manufacturing organization located in Hillsboro, OR. The person in this role will setup and operate mills to create machined parts and the tooling to produce those parts. Schedules Available: • Day shift (MON-THURS, 10 hour days) • Swing shift (MON-THURS, 10 hour days) • Weekend shift (FRI-SUN, 12 hour days) CNC Mill Machinist Responsibilities: • Setup CNC mill machines, tools, and fixtures • Operate CNC mill machines, quality check parts, and perform edits as needed • Read traveler for operation to be processed and study corresponding blueprints reflected on the traveler • Machine preventive maintenance • Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work area • Train less experienced CNC Mill Machinist co-workers • Follow all safety and quality requirements • Other duties assigned CNC Mill Machinist Qualifications: • 2-5 years CNC Mill machining experience including performing frequent set-ups. • Ability to read drawings, specifications, documents and modelling, with the ability to offset changes independently. • Knowledge and ability to use basic measuring tools (0-6 caliper, 0-1micrometer, dial indicator, bore mics, etc.) and ability to maintain visual quality of parts. Qualifications & Experience 3-5 years of experience setting up, validating, and troubleshooting aerospace CNC programs on vertical and horizontal mills. Extensive hands-on experience verifying complex aerospace programs, ensuring parts meet tight tolerances. Proficiency with Fanuc and Mitsubishi controls, G & M codes, and manual program editing. Strong knowledge of aerospace standards (AS9100) and experience working with materials such as titanium, aluminum, and composites. Experience with aerospace CAM systems, tooling, and fixture design. Ability to work independently, manage multiple setups, and deliver high-quality, repeatable results. Certification(s) in aerospace manufacturing (e.g., NIMS, AS9100) a plus. Excellent attention to detail, critical thinking, and critical thinking skills. Skilled with measurement tools, CMMs, and inspection procedures, a plus. Must adhere to safety protocols, wear PPE, and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Physical ability to manage demanding tasks and navigate the manufacturing floor.
