Currently, we are seeking a qualified Machinist to work both day and swing shift at our fabrication shop in Eugene, Oregon. About the Position • Responsible for running and operating CNC mills and Lathes • Analyze manufacturing drawings to develop parts using multiple axis machining operations • Create and set up tooling and fixtures • Work closely with engineers • Determine and utilize proper speeds and feeds to reference point location • Maintain quality and manufacturing standards while adhering to the guidelines of a safe work environment Qualifications • 1 year recent, verifiable machinist experience or educational equivalent • Programming software experience a plus • Ability to manually setup and operate Engine Lathes, horizontal and vertical mills and drill presses to produce precision parts • Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings • Familiar with speeds and feeds • Demonstrated ability to consistently hit tight tolerances (+/- .001) or better when needed • Understanding of bearing fits • Familiar with machining steel (A36, 1045, 4140), aluminum, and plastics • All applicants must be at least age 18 Why Join Our Team? CNC Machine Operator

Job Title: CNC Machine Operator Job Description Perform machining on parts and tools by operating more than one machine at a time. Use blueprints and schematics to machine the parts. This role requires the ability to lift up to 40 lbs and involves standing for the entire shift. Responsibilities • Perform intermediate level machining of parts and tools with limited supervision. • Set up and operate all available machine tools and perform progressive machining operations involving close tolerances. • Understand qualities of metals and alloys and apply that knowledge to parts being machined. • Comprehend all forms of technical documents including blueprints, drawings, written specifications, charts, and tables. • Skillfully use all machinist hand tools and measuring instruments. • Fit and assemble components as necessary. • Set up and lay out own work from blueprints, sketches, and written specifications according to requirements. • Maintain a track record of high-quality work with low rework and scrap history. • Maintain high efficiencies and run rates for given machine. • Work safely and as part of a high-performing team. • Perform other duties as assigned. • Learn both manual and CNC equipment. Located in Eugene, Oregon, Vintage Underground specializes in restoring and building vintage European automobiles. Our dedicated team of 30 professionals focuses on full restorations and bespoke builds, ensuring every project is completed to the highest standards.
