Precision Sheet Metal Fabrication and Machining Company based in Eugene, Oregon is seeking an experienced Machinist for full-time employment. Position available immediately. Superior Steel Fabrication is a contract manufacturer serving the Gaming, Semi-conductor, Medical, Aerospace and other industry sectors. Superior Steel has been in business and growing for over 25 years. JOB REQUIREMENTS Experience. A job history in metal fabrication work is preferred. Ability to read and interpret dimensional drawings, specifications and requirements. Proficiency in the use of all manner of measuring instruments such as; calipers, gage blocks, height gage, micrometers, etc. Must be detail oriented, organized and possess a positive, helpful attitude. Be able to setup and operate manual and CNC mills and lathes. Must be able to perform in a fast-paced work environment. Self-motivated, outgoing and cooperative. Excellent attendance and reliability. Ability to stay focused and work well under pressure (e.g. time constraints). Must be physically able to lift/carry/manipulate up to 50lbs. and stand for most of the shift. CNC Manual Machinist - Eugene Airport Road, OR

The ideal candidate will set up and operate one or more CNC machining center to perform drilling, tapping, milling, boring and other machining operations over a range of surfaces, diameters, and depths. Must determine operation sequence, select and adjust tools and mount in storage matrix. Job set ups may be complex and require milling to very close tolerances. As a Machinist (CNC/Manual) Operator you will: • Study blueprints, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, setup requirements, and check for errors. • Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, depth, and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media according to established guidelines and procedures. • Sets up and operates machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data to process steel (some pieces weighing as much as 300 lbs.). • Other duties as assigned. Minimal Qualifications: • Associate of Art's degree (A.A.) programs in Machinist is preferred. • Minimum two years experience operating CNC machines or Machinist Technical Certification through an accredited college preferred. • Similar degree or certifications from a technical school or machining center or equivalent combination of education and experience in the machining industry is preferred. Job description Overview: We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our shop. The ideal candidate will have experience with manual machining processes and equipment to produce precision parts.
