Job Title: Pump Mechanic \ Job Summary: \ We are seeking a highly skilled Pump Mechanic for an assignment in The Dalles, Oregon. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine and preventive maintenance on wastewater treatment plant equipment. \ Responsibilities: \ \ • Perform major and minor repair work and overhauls on plant engines, motors, pumps, and related equipment.\ • Tune up engines; set valve clearances; clean and adjust regulators, gas, and other controls and devices.\ • Maintain and repair pumps; replace bearings, valves, seals, and controllers; build pump mounts and brackets; weld.\ • Maintain comprehensive logs of all maintenance work done on equipment.\ • Ensure adherence to safety, cleanliness, and fire prevention rules and standards.\ • Determine remedial action in emergency situations.\ \ Qualifications: \ \ • High School Diploma or equivalent.\ • A valid driver's license.\ • Experience in the maintenance and repair of pumps, motors, electrical, and mechanical equipment.\ \ Work Schedule: \ Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm.
