Extrusion Machine Operator Role This position involves operating an extrusion machine to produce yarn. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently maintaining the extrusion line, packing-out yarn with correct labeling and preparation, working with a partner to ensure safe and efficient production, learning to clean and inspect spinnerets, and keeping work areas clean and organized. About the Position: • The Extrusion Machine Operator is accountable for ensuring seamless yarn production. • They will regularly maintain extrusion line doffs, string up positions when breakouts occur as efficiently as possible, effectively pack-out yarn with correct labeling and preparation, work with a partner to ensure safe and efficient production, learn to clean and inspect spinnerets, and keep work area clean and organized. Key Responsibilities: • Lifting, reaching, standing, stooping, and bending are required throughout the shift. • The ability to lift 60 lbs is mandatory. • Able to use scissors, a wrap stick, wrenches, and other hand tools. • Absorb and distinguish colors and shades. Required Qualifications: • A high school diploma or GED is preferred. • Previous experience in extrusion is desirable. Additional Requirements: • Overtime may be required on occasion. • All accidents must be reported immediately. • Perform any other duties assigned by management.
