Requirements: JOB DESCRIPTION: • Reviews production schedule, due date control list and/or printouts from computer production tracking system to determine work priorities and specified materials for each assigned machine. • Locates appropriate parts by slip number and other identification and transports to designated machine or staging area, ensuring counts and parts are accurate. • Makes corrections to counts and slip numbers as required. • Researches and locates parts as needed to ensure that parts are being processed in sequential order and that all previous processes have been completed. • Provides workstations with appropriate racks, baskets and pallets for parts storage. • Removes completed production runs from machines and transports to next process, staging area, warehouse or assigned shipping area (per customer). • Responds to special requests (emergency orders) from operators and supervisors for material handling assistance. • Monitors levels of materials and status of work at machines and plans material delivery priorities accordingly. • Performs pre-use inspection of forklift truck and monitors fluid levels; refills oil, water and propane tank as necessary, following established procedures.
