CNC Machine Operator

Job Position: CNC Machine Operator Location: Valdosta, GA 31606 Pay Rate: $15.00/hr Shift: 6am - 4:30pm Position Description: We need a detail-oriented machine operator that has good work ethics and wants to bring their knowledge and skills to a company that is growing and expand your knowledge as we grow. You will need 1-2 years of experience operating a lathe and/or mill as well as machine shop knowledge. You must have good math skills, be drug free, and be dependable. The position will be responsible for operating CNC Machining lathes. The position is responsible for loading part programs into machine control, and reading and interpreting CNC programs. Proven experience in programming, tool selection, set-up, and operating CNC lathes. The position is responsible for maximizing quality product runs and minimizing machine idle time. Job Responsibilities:  Load part programs into machine control read and interpret CNC programs and prints.  Load and unload production parts.  Properly handle parts.  Properly label and handle non-conforming product.  Complete necessary job tracking paperwork.  Listen to machines during operation in order to detect sounds such as those made by dull cutting tools or excessive vibration and adjust machines to compensate for problems.  Keep work area clean.  Monitor machine for proper operation and maintain proper oil and coolant levels.  Regularly measure and perform inspection on parts. Measure dimensions of finished workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures.  Machinist degree required and experience preferred  Minimum of two years’ experience with CNC manufacturing equipment preferred  Experience in a Manufacturer with a Registered Quality Management System Preferred  Proficient in MS Office- Word, Excel  Master Cam or Equivalent Preferred  Ability to set-up and operate multi-spindle CNC lathes with live tooling and bar feeders  Ability to utilize conventional mills, lathes, and drills  Able to read blueprints, routing sheets, precision measuring instruments  Able to drive a forklift, lift 50lbs. Educations and Experience:  Machine shop: 3 years (Preferred)  High school diploma, GED and/or Technical School Graduate with concentration in CNC operations or industry recognized certification.  1-2 years’ experience required.  Experience with Okuma, Fanuc, Mazatrol and Haas preferred.  G-Code preferred.

We are seeking an Forming/Hotend Machine Operator to join the team in Valdosta, GA Status of hire: Full time Industry: Glass container manufacturing Reports to: Slot Operations Manager Similar Titles: Mechanical Operators/Machining/Jr. Line Manager Shift/Schedule: Rotating 12 hour shifts Responsibilities: • Monitoring the process and machines in their area to ensure we produce a high-quality product in a safe manner. • Ensure customers’ requirements are met while working in a safe manner. • Analyze basic forming process data, including but not limited to temperatures, gob length, gob weight etc. • Oversee and maintain paperwork. • Spot Check mold equipment for abnormal ware or condition issues relating to process and set up issues. • Visual inspection reports of any deviations from standards that could affect product quality. • Track performance of job and resolve any issues by determine root cause and corrective actions. • Provide support to stabilize and improve job performance during and after job changes. • Provide support during scheduled section changes and any PM maintenance. • Be able to identify product issues and be able to act on remedies. • Maintain administrative records and activities. • Help create a dynamic, results-oriented and fulfilling company culture based on teamwork. • Promote Arglass’ culture of Flexibility, Efficiency and Sustainability in all areas of the company. • Commitment to improving operational management systems, processes, and best practices. • Maintain timely and accurate records such as attendance, production, quality training and discipline.
