Job Summary We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC programming and machining processes, with the ability to operate CNC lathes and milling machines. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality components that meet stringent specifications. Responsibilities • Set up and operate CNC machines including lathes and milling machines to produce parts according to specifications. • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models to determine machining requirements. • Utilize CNC programming skills to create and modify programs for efficient machining operations. • Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to verify part dimensions. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols. Qualifications • Proven experience as a CNC Machinist with a strong mechanical knowledge base. • Proficiency in CNC programming languages (e.g., Fanuc).. • Strong basic math skills for calculations related to machining processes. • Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and forklifts safely and effectively. • Knowledge of welding techniques is advantageous but not required. • Previous experience in assembly processes is beneficial. • Understanding of tooling requirements for various machining operations is essential. We are seeking an Forming/Hotend Machine Operator to join the team in Valdosta, GA Status of hire: Full time Industry: Glass container manufacturing Reports to: Slot Operations Manager Similar Titles: Mechanical Operators/Machining/Jr. Line Manager Shift/Schedule: Rotating 12 hour shifts Responsibilities: • Monitoring the process and machines in their area to ensure we produce a high-quality product in a safe manner. • Ensure customers’ requirements are met while working in a safe manner. • Analyze basic forming process data, including but not limited to temperatures, gob length, gob weight etc. • Oversee and maintain paperwork. • Spot Check mold equipment for abnormal ware or condition issues relating to process and set up issues. • Visual inspection reports of any deviations from standards that could affect product quality. • Track performance of job and resolve any issues by determine root cause and corrective actions. • Provide support to stabilize and improve job performance during and after job changes. • Provide support during scheduled section changes and any PM maintenance. • Be able to identify product issues and be able to act on remedies. • Maintain administrative records and activities. • Help create a dynamic, results-oriented and fulfilling company culture based on teamwork. • Promote Arglass’ culture of Flexibility, Efficiency and Sustainability in all areas of the company. • Commitment to improving operational management systems, processes, and best practices. • Maintain timely and accurate records such as attendance, production, quality training and discipline.
