As a Cold Mill Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating milling equipment to prepare surfaces for new asphalt, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Operate milling machine to mill asphalt surfaces according to project specifications. • Perform daily safety checks on equipment and report any operational issues to the Foreman. • Prepare job sites for building, demolition, or excavation. • Transport tools and construction equipment to and from job sites. • Operate machinery safely and effectively, following company guidelines and procedures. • Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • High school diploma or equivalent preferred. • Vocational school training or apprenticeship in a related field preferred. • 1+ years of experience in operating milling machines. • Paving or heavy/highway construction experience preferred. • Valid driver's license and Class A or B CDL preferred. • Ability to read building plans related to structural concrete and land grades. • Excellent mechanical skills and ability to follow instructions. • Effective communication with supervisors and team members.
