Position Summary A Machinist must be able to use blueprints, sketches, CAD and manufacturing files to setup and operate equipment in order to produce complex metal parts within required tolerances and design specifications. Responsibilities: • Ability to operate lathes, grinders, mills, and drill presses from part setup to job completion • Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and bore gauges to take accurate measurements and assess dimensional integrity of parts • Ability to read blueprints, drawings, schematics, engineering information, or sample parts to determine product dimensions and tolerances as well as best methods needed to fabricate parts • Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and materials onto machines • Observe and listen to operating machines or equipment in order to diagnose equipment malfunctions and determine the need for adjustments or repair • Produce precision parts to company specifications consistent with productivity standards of .0005” tolerance • Measure, examine and test completed parts in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications • Fabricate tooling and hardware as part of continuous improvement of the facility • Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines, wearing PPE and following safety procedures through the disassembly and inspection process • Observe and follow company health, safety and environmental (HSE) procedures • Maintain a clean and organized work environment • Record parts and materials used, and process requisition of new parts and materials • Participate productively in meetings as needed • Able to work overtime, nights, and weekends as deemed necessary by management • Other duties as assigned, including mechanic work on various reciprocating compressor package components Requirements: • Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent • Proficient in the use of precision measuring equipment, such as micrometers, dial indicators, and calipers • Proficient in using equipment alignment tools (both laser and manual) • 2 years minimum experience with mills and lathes • Works with minimal supervision and detailed drawings – must be able to interpret verbal or written instructions and analyze data and reports • Able to read and write English • Ability to perform basic math functions • Ability to successfully complete assigned responsibilities • Able to guide and train others • Must exhibit a high level of dependability, a great attitude, and an ability to work well with a team towards achieving a common goal Ability to commute / relocate: • Granbury, TX 76049: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) WORK LOCATION: • In person – Encore Oilfield Services, LLC in Granbury, TX 76049 #J-18808-Ljbffr
