CNC Machinist - 2nd Shift

Job Title: CNC Machinist (Milling Specialist) 2nd Shift Job Summary: We are an AS9100-certified job shop specializing in aerospace, defense, and medical products. We have an immediate opening for an experienced CNC Machinist with a strong background in milling (lathe experience is a plus). Our small, family-focused shop runs quick-turn, low-volume orders—often one to three pieces—of highly complex parts with tight GD&T tolerances. Proof of U.S. Citizenship is required. Responsibilities: • Setup & Operation: Perform frequent setups and teardowns in a job shop environment, including fixture design, tooling selection, and offset adjustments. • Precision Machining: Accurately use dial indicators, edge finders, and other metrology tools to meet strict tolerances. • Programming: Read and modify G-Code; program with Mastercam (multi-axis experience a plus). • Process Knowledge: Understand rigid tapping, canned cycles, and Fanuc controls. Apply appropriate feeds, speeds, and cutting depths for various materials. • Quality Assurance: Interpret and apply GD&T from blueprints; measure and inspect parts to ensure conformance to specifications. • Collaboration: Work independently with minimal supervision while achieving on-time delivery and maintaining product quality. • Workplace Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
