Machining Supervisor

Based in our Sherman, TX location, you will provide supervision of the machine shop and welding departments and manage the daily workload of direct reports. In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: • Supporting machining and welding operations while working with the production manager to ensure production meets safety regulations, quality standards, and delivery timelines through on-time, cost effective, and efficient processes. • Training and mentoring team members to enhance skills and productivity. • Analyzing and improving processes in the area of responsibility related to safety, quality, and cost efficiency. • Ensuring adherence to welding codes, standards, and regulations by maintaining accurate records of operations including inspections, tests, and certifications. • Monitoring equipment performance coordinating maintenance and ensuring proper operation of machinery. • Assisting in upgrading existing equipment to safer, more efficient, and productive alternatives. • Scheduling and leading preventative maintenance for all machining equipment. • Conducting routine safety observations to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies as well as company environmental, health, and safety policies, procedures and practices. For This Role, You Will Need: • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent • 3 years of experience in machining or engineering • 2 years of functional supervisory/leadership experience • Candidates must possess a valid driver license and be eligible to operate a company vehicle • Proficient with the use of manual and CNC machines. • Ability to read and edit CNC programs; proficient with Mastercam. • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart: • Associate or bachelor's degree in technical discipline • 5 years of experience in a supervisory role • Ability to interpret prints and schematics and familiarity with related software, such as CribMaster and AutoCAD, and ability to learn new software Our Culture & Commitment to You: At Emerson, we prioritize a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow.
