Machinist-2nd shift

Emerson has an exciting opportunity in our Sherman, TX, location to join our team as a 2nd Shift Machinist. If you are safety conscious, follow through on commitments, and work well in a team environment, this position is for you. As a Machinist, you will be responsible for producing parts of a high degree of complexity for the Sherman operations. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: • Producing parts and meeting all specifications and tolerance required from work orders, shop orders, and/or Fisher specifications. • Operating any machine, including manual and CNC machines, to its proven capability in a highly productive manner. • Coordinating setups and programming issues with machine shop programmers including setting up the part, defining work planes, and managing different geometries. • Inspecting all detail parts to ensure operations conform to requirement. • Maintaining accurate and detailed records.Reporting status of work using computer input, bar code, or other devices as required. For This Role, You Will Need: • High School Diploma or equivalent (i.e. GED) • Completion of Machine Shop program at an accredited school or equivalent machining experience. • Proficiency with Mastercam. • Proficient with the use of manual and CNC machines including ability to read and edit CNC programs.Ability to use micrometers, dial calipers, functional gauges and engineering prints. Manual Machinist - Lathe

URGENTLY HIRING Responsible for operating machine tools such as manual lathes, and milling machines, to produce precision compressor bearings . Ensure products meet precise specifications and able to hold a tight tolerance. Must have machine shop experience. Company is located near downtown Sherman, TX. Must know how to read a blueprint and precision measuring tools. Location: On-Site, Sherman, TX Hours/Shift: Monday thru Friday Pay Rate: $20.00-$30.00 an hour DOE Job Description: The biggest responsibility of a Machinist is to make parts that fully meet all required specifications.
