Refrigeration Technician

Position Summary: As a Refrigeration Technician & General Maintenance Worker, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the refrigeration systems, HVAC units, and conducting general maintenance tasks across multiple store locations. Your primary duties will include performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our customers and employees. Key Responsibilities: (Responsibilities may vary depending on assignment.) • Inspect, repair, and maintain refrigeration systems, including commercial refrigerators, freezers, and HVAC units. • Conduct general maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and other repairs as needed. • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment to reduce downtime and extend the lifespan of the systems. • Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions, refrigerant leaks, and other technical issues promptly. • Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and protocols, including the proper handling of refrigerants. • Maintain an inventory of necessary parts and supplies, and coordinate with vendors for procurement. • Keep detailed records of maintenance and repair activities, including equipment performance and parts inventory. • Respond to emergency repair requests, address issues promptly, and be available for on-call support as needed. • Collaborate with department heads and supervisors to minimize disruptions during maintenance and repairs. • Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and relevant industry standards. Work Environment: • Indoors/Outdoors, all weather conditions • Travel to each location required – standard retail grocery environment. • Warehouse Physical Requirements: • Regularly lifting up to 50lbs. or more • Must be able to climb ladders, stairs, and elevated platforms. • May require frequent stooping, crawling, etc. Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification is a plus. • EPA 608 Universal Certification or equivalent refrigeration certification. • Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, HVAC, and general maintenance procedures. • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. • Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a team. • Knowledge of local building and safety codes related to refrigeration and maintenance. • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as necessary. • Valid driver's license for travel between store locations. x PI257667649 About the Company: E.W.
