The Opportunity The Facilities Technicians are responsible for assisting with all aspects of the company's facilities operations from maintenance to compliance. Essential functions include, but are not limited to, regular equipment maintenance, irrigation repairs, low voltage electrical repairs, facility compliance, and any other tasks related to resetting cultivation rooms as well as various miscellaneous tasks that fall under the day-to-day management of our gardens and their various individual departments. Under the supervision of the Cultivation Director and Facilities manager, you will ensure that the facility is kept safe and compliant with OSHA standards as well as all state and local regulations at all times. This position will be responsible for following ALL Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) as they relate to various aspects of facilities maintenance and repairs. Also, maintaining compliance within our facility at all times. Facilities Technicians will be responsible for many key day-to-day tasks that keep our facility operating smoothly and our production cycle on schedule. Having a positive mindset, a capacity to problem-solve, as well as a team-first attitude is critical. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING These include, but are not limited to, the following (other duties may be assigned): • General Maintenance Duties: Conduct equipment walkthroughs and checks, monitoring dehumidifiers, air conditioners, fans, lights, CO2 emitters, irrigation valves, and other cultivation room-related equipment. • HVAC Maintenance: Perform regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs on HVAC systems, including troubleshooting issues, replacing filters, and ensuring optimal performance of heating and cooling units. • Irrigation System Maintenance: Conduct cleaning and maintenance of irrigation systems, including filter flushing, probes, mixing chambers, and all related components. • Coordination of Facilities Operations: Assist with daily activities, quality assurance, safety and compliance assurance, inventory management, cleanliness, and organization. • Inventory Management: Participate in equipment and inventory activities, ensuring proper returns, ordering, and stock levels of necessary items. • Safety and Cleanliness: Mop up spills and leaks, ensuring safety signs are in place to caution employees on wet floors, oily surfaces, and other occupational hazards. • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Wear PPE at appropriate times to protect against splash hazards, high temperatures, and chemicals. Complete training will be provided upon hiring. • Compliance with Operational Guidelines: Follow all operational guidelines, verbal directives, training information, and policies when performing duties. • Waste Management: Transport trash and waste to the disposal area while complying with safety requirements at all times. • Information Sharing: Complete any assigned work during scheduled shifts and share relevant information with team members. Requirements: • Must be 21 or over. • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent. • Completion of an accredited HVAC training program and possession of relevant certifications (e.g., EPA Section 608 certification). • Ability to perform basic math operations and solve practical problems. • Knowledge of HVAC systems, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning. • Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues. • Basic understanding of plumbing systems related to HVAC. • Proficiency with HVAC tools and equipment. • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form, using a smartphone. • Ability to safely climb up and down a ladder. Physical Requirements: • Regularly required to perform carrying, grasping, lifting, walking, standing, use of ladder, use of power tools, some bending/crouching, stooping, stretching, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions. • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time while maintaining focus, and have the ability to walk on uneven terrain. • Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull and balance up to 51 lbs and must be able to do so with extreme care and caution when working with plants and products. • Comfortable working on ladders or rooftops and in tight spaces. Work Environment • While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to herbal aromas, dust, and/or airborne particles. • The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places.

Education Preferred: • High school graduate or equivalent • Two years college-level coursework related to duties and employment standards.
