This role involves working under supervision to perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on refrigeration and HVAC systems, as well as other store equipment and fixtures. The position requires adherence to established schedules and guidelines to ensure operational efficiency and safety. Job Duties and Responsibilities of Walmart Developmental Technician, Refrigeration/HVAC Maintenance: • Assist or perform maintenance and repair tasks under the guidance of an experienced technician. • Maintain and repair facility equipment using multiple craft skills, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and material handling equipment. • Use hand and power tools to complete assigned tasks. • Utilize work order management systems to receive and document repair requests. • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls. • Inspect, operate, and test equipment and fixtures to diagnose issues. • Complete all required training to safely operate equipment and tools. Qualifications and Experience of Walmart Developmental Technician, Refrigeration/HVAC Maintenance: • Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent. • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work comfortably at heights using ladders. • Capable of sitting or standing for extended periods and working in varying temperatures. • Maintain a clean driving record. • Type I and Type II Environmental Protection Agency certification for refrigerant handling. • Preferred experience in mechanical maintenance or construction related to commercial HVAC/R and building controls.
