DUTIES: Trouble-shooting of electrical components of large refrigeration and air conditioning systems. Must be able to read blue prints and interpret electrical schematics, control schematics and mechanical drawings. Must be able to repair and maintain chillers, cooling towers, heat pumps and heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration equipment. (HVACR) Maintain, repair, replace, relocate, remove, restore all HVAC systems to include motors, controls, coils, lubrication, filters, belts, and all controls and wiring. • Interpret and apply blue print specifications, building control diagrams/software and maintenance manuals. • Maintains systems according to established maintenance schedules and appropriate maintenance functions as indicated by the manufacturer’s specification, Department guidelines and good trade practices to minimize breakdowns and other interruptions in service • Performs journey level work troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, installing, modifying, maintaining, and overhauling of heating equipment, boilers, hydronic systems, pumps and building controls.
