HVAC Team Leader/Installer

Job Details: Western Mechanical is currently looking for a dependable, hardworking and team player HVAC Team Leader/Installer to join our company. The Team Leader/Installer works alongside a crew of Installer as well as oversees the crew in the installation of HVAC systems, equipment, sheet metal ductwork, piping, wiring, and controls. As a HVAC Team Leader/Installer, you will be responsible for the installation of ductwork in commercial buildings and/or installation and repair of HVAC systems in residential properties. The HVAC Team Leader/Installer must be competent with the preparation, testing and start-up of new HVAC equipment. We are looking for experienced workers. KEY RESPONSIBILITES: • Lead an HVAC installation crew. Delegate tasks and ensure that installations are carried out according to plans and safety standards. • Leads and trains employees to complete projects with established guidelines and timeframes. • Thorough knowledge and ability to perform all installation/construction duties, including the following: • Thorough knowledge of HVAC systems • Ability to do Take – Offs • Read, interpret, and follow architectural, structural, electrical, piping and HVAC drawings for construction, installation and assembly • Lay out, measure, and mark dimensions and reference lines according to drawings using squares, chalk lines, lasers, tape measures, and scale rulers • Install assemblies in supportive framework according to drawings using hand tools, power tools, and lifting and handling devices • Maneuver completed units/equipment into position for installation, and anchor equipment, air-handling units, and fans • Must be able to weld and may be required to be certified to weld • Competent brazing and soldering skills • Installation of sheet metal / ductwork for HVAC systems in commercial buildings. • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. • Install HVAC systems including air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps, ductwork, fireplaces, new construction and related components in residential settings. • Conduct routine inspections to ensure systems are functioning correctly and efficiently. • Communicate effectively with clients to explain HVAC system operations, maintenance requirements, and operation. • Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations to maintain a safe work environment. • Complete installation reports, service records, and other necessary paperwork. • Maintain accurate records of equipment specifications and installation details. Required Knowledge and Skills: • A minimum of 2-4 years previous experience as a commercial HVAC Sheet Metal installer. • Strong knowledge of HVAC sheet metal / ductwork components. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, tools, and equipment. • Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions. • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently. • Candidates must be capable of working independently with minimal supervision and must also get along well with others as they will primarily be a member of a two-man crew. • Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and team members. • Valid driver's license Job Type: Full-time Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40 per week Benefits: • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Life insurance • Paid time off • Retirement plan Work Location: In person
