The Air National Guard provides almost half of the Air Force's tactical airlift support, combat communications functions, aeromedical evacuations and aerial refueling. As an employee of the Department of Military Affairs, you will work as a key supporting member at the Air National Guard base in Great Falls. This position will perform a variety of HVAC duties including, but not limited to: • Troubleshoot and diagnose system issues that may involve HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems • Fabricate HVAC parts using techniques including welding or soldering. • Perform basic adjustments to system controls. • May design systems. install, repair and maintain HVAC systems. • Install low-voltage electrical components and wiring. • Inspect and test HVAC systems and components. • Discuss system malfunctions with customers. • Repair or replace worn or defective parts. • Recommend maintenance to improve system performance. • Keep records of work performed. • Perform some snow removal during the winter months. Applicants must be able to demonstrate the ability to work with, and engage in, diverse working environments within and outside the Department of Military Affairs. This position requires some travel to various work locations, as well as performing duties that involve reaching, crawling, bending, climbing, walking over uneven surfaces and lifting up to 50lbs.
