This position performs technical duties in the repair and maintenance of HVAC and other building systems. ## Examples of Duties Monitors and maintains the citys building control systems for HVAC and other equipment. Installs, modifies, and repairs HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and emergency power generation systems. Inspects HVAC equipment and control systems for annual condition assessment. Ensures compliance with safety rules and regulations. Controls card keys and makes changes for schedule and security access changes. Responds to after-hours HVAC emergencies. Maintains equipment and supply inventory for control systems and makes purchases as necessary. Prepares annual repair and capital improvement budget recommendations relative to HVAC systems. Monitors natural gas, electricity, and water usage by city buildings. Manages CMMS system including data input, task definition, and reporting. Maintains assigned tools and equipment. Purchases parts and supplies as needed. Performs related duties. ## Minimum Qualifications Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with completion of specialized training in the field of work, in addition to basic skills typically associated with a high school education. Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/ internship or having had a similar position for three to four years. Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid drivers license issued by the State of North Dakota for the type of vehicle or equipment operated. Possession of or ability to readily obtain appropriate HVAC certification as required by the State of North Dakota.
