ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES As an HVAC Technician, you’ll install, repair, and maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems while providing top-tier service to our clients. Install, diagnose, repair & maintain a variety of HVAC systems, including chillers, split systems, water source heat pumps, rooftop units, CRAC units, mini-splits, and packaged systems. Repair and maintain hot water systems, troubleshoot, calibrate, and adjust pilots, thermostats, burners, and controls on electrical systems. Replace/adjust major and minor components fans, belts, motors, filters, compressors, thermostats, valves, etc. Perform electrical troubleshooting & repairs related to HVAC systems. Diagnose & order parts, supplies, and tools required for each job. Maintain detailed electronic documentation on service performed Work closely with dispatch, team leaders, and service sales staff to coordinate work and customer needs. Perform emergency repairs efficiently and participate in the on-call rotation Provide technical guidance and training to apprentices and junior technicians. Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and industry regulations. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE ✔ Minimum 7 years of HVAC experience (total including apprenticeship or technical school preferred). ✔ High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required. ✔ Universal EPA 608 ✔ Valid Driver’s License with clean record. ✔ Willingness to join Local Union 72 (or already a member). This position supports 24/7 365 days a year at the WBD campus and other off-site locations, critical TGR Rooms, Data Centers and Studios. Your Role Accountabilities • Monitor 5000 ton Central Cooling / chilled water distribution plant and critical space (Datacenter) operation scattered across 12 buildings and 1.5M s/f of commercial production space; specifically chillers, pumps, cooling towers, make up water stations and controls. • Responsible for ,maintenance and operation of commercial comfort cooling and critical application HVAC units (AHU, FCU, VAV, FPV, CRAH, CRAC units) • Trouble shoot motors, boilers, pumps, electric heat, air conditioners, etc. • Perform preventative maintenance on all mechanical equipment per prescribed schedules and work plans • Perform all other duties as assigned by manager Qualifications & Experience • Minimum 5 years working in a commercial chilled water plant and distribution environment including critical cooling (datacenter) equipment and applications. • EPA Universal or Type II certification Required • Apprenticeship or vocational school preferred. • Direct expansion, indirect expansion, operation of chillers, chilled and condenser water loops via VFD control, cooling towers, make up water operations, electrical troubleshooting at the control level, AHU, VAV operations and CRAC/CRAH experience. • Valid drivers license required. • High School diploma or equivalent • Familiarity with digital platforms including MS Office and HVAC control systems such as Niagara/Tridium, Johnson Controls, Honeywell etc.. • Warm air license preferred • Stationary Engineer Certification preferred • Boiler Operator Certification preferred How We Get Things Done… This last bit is probably the most important!
