About you and this role As the Electrical Technician you will be performing the Maintenance role (hands-on) in the Global Maintenance Work Process with the primary focus on Electrical Maintenance support. You will be responsible for electrical commissioning, maintaining, and repairing industrial electrical equipment in a safe, efficient, and effective way according to Dow's EH&S and Global Maintenance Work Processes including but not limited to: Responsibilities • Reviewing job packages for all necessary procedures and information to verify work can be carried out safely and according to the plan prior to execution. • Obtaining, complying with, and closing Safe Work Permits • Provide technical expertise to calibrate, repair, evaluate, and apply test equipment for the determination of the service condition and acceptability of a wide variety of electrical equipment. • Execute and complete the task per the daily schedule or as required due to emergency need. • Thoroughly investigate the source and/or cause of a problem encountered during the task execution, according to the value-added work process. • Troubleshoot and repair equipment • Sharing after hours call with others will be necessary • Complete all required training for department, the discipline, and St. Charles Operations. • Diagnoses and corrects equipment problems. • Completes preventative maintenance activities. Required Qualifications • A minimum of a certificate in electrical OR High School Diploma or GED equivalent AND A minimum of 2 or more years’ experience working in electrical maintenance. • Must be willing and able to work overtime and call-outs after-hours as needed (nights, weekends and holidays). • Must have current, valid US driver’s license. • Must possess a TWIC card or be eligible to obtain a TWIC card.
